I am anti-pet. But the wife has cunningly convinced me we are getting a puppy when summer break occurs (she is a teacher, so will then be home to give it the additional care a new puppy requires).

I suspect it may take me longer than it will take wife and kids, but perhaps one day I may have the same emotional response to this episode.

but until then, I shall joyfully remind folks of fry’s dog for the casual misery it can cause MWAHAAHAHAHAHA

If there’s a way you can NOT get a dog, I might recommend that route. Unless you’ve owned dogs before and you’re good at it/enjoy it. Luna is my first dog, and I mean ever. There were bigly growing pains.
